Spring is coming to an end, and the long-awaited summer is approaching. If you're tired of the usual resort destinations and are yearning for new, incredible experiences, an intense holiday, and a uniquely special flavor from the summer season, then plan your summer vacation in the capital of Azerbaijan. Bright impressions and unforgettable emotions are waiting for you.

Caspian Private Leisure has prepared 10 good reasons why you should visit Baku as soon as possible.

1. Beach Vacation on the Caspian Sea

Summer and the sea are two interconnected and inseparable concepts for those who enjoy a good rest with their family, friends, or loved ones. Can't imagine summer without the sea? The numerous sandy beaches of Baku on the Caspian coast will be a great respite for you - here, you can easily escape the city bustle and bask in the sun to your heart's content. Azerbaijan's unique mild climate allows swimming and sunbathing from May to early fall, so you still have time to book a coastal hotel and fly to Baku for the summer!

2. Absence of Language Barrier

Are you worried about facing a language barrier, which can sometimes spoil your vacation experience? Forget about these fears! There's no language barrier in Baku, as the majority of the city's population speaks at least two foreign languages fluently - Russian and Turkish - and can communicate in English without difficulty. If you encounter any communication challenges, know that help will always be available because, as a guest, you are in a place where hospitality has been the basis of Azerbaijani culture for centuries.

3. Old Town

The old city of Baku, called Icheri Sheher, seems to have leapt straight from the pages of oriental fairy tales, which many of us read during our childhood. Here, the main historical sights, such as the Palace of Shirvanshahs, Maiden Tower, Bazaar Square, and fortress gates, are concentrated. They allow you to literally touch the rich ancient past of Azerbaijan and feel a special historical aura, full of secrets and mystery. Icheri Sheher will also be of interest to movie fans - two major hits of Soviet cinematography, "Amphibian Man" and "Diamond Hand," were filmed here!

4. National Azerbaijani Cuisine

Azerbaijani cuisine, one of the world's most original culinary traditions, has absorbed the best qualities and features of the Azerbaijani people. It is rightly considered the most delicious in the region. The assortment of Azerbaijani cuisine is incredibly vast - various kinds of pilaf, dolma, and kebabs will amaze even the most refined gourmets. In Baku, forget about your diet and just enjoy the food, the taste of which you will not forget for a long time!

5. Instagram Spots

Want to get thousands of likes on your photos and hundreds of reposts on Instagram? In Baku, you can easily find many “Instagrammable” locations to create amazing and original photos and video content. For example, be sure to visit the top of the Maiden Tower and the Heydar Aliyev Center. While walking along the streets of the Old City, remember that the most beautiful things in life aren't just things, but people, places, memories, and, of course, photos.

6. Carpet Museum

Few people know, but Baku is home to the world's only carpet museum. It is located in a building designed in the shape of a rolled-up carpet, which has become one of the most recognizable modern architectural symbols of the capital. 7. Little Venice

You don't have to apply for a Schengen visa to ride a gondola on water canals - just come to Baku. In the very center of the city, on the boulevard, you'll find “Little Venice.” This beautiful water attraction of the Azerbaijani capital lets you experience the romance of Italy and make a lot of stunning shots for social networks.
